Barbara Lewis is President and Founder of The Ruth Project, a fellowship for women who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. The Ruth Project was created to provide Crisis Intervention and Counseling Services.  We are an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

 

"Our emphasis continues to be the safety of these women.  We work diligently and discreetly to move the abused to a safe place.  Our future plan is Bunky's House for Women which will undoubtedly increase spiritual and intellectual growth and family unity to the recipients of our services.  The women must first realize that anything is attainable when they first believe in themselves, and receive guidance and support.  Our vision is to provide a safe-house."
